About Karachi Trading Corporation
Karachi Trading Corporation (KTC) was founded in 2000 by Kewal Ram and is an exporter of agricultural commodities based in Karachi, Pakistan. The product range includes rice (including Irri-6, Irri-9, D98, 386, Super Basmati and 1121), corn, sesame seeds (natural and hulled), guar gum powder, guar splits, guar meal, onions, potatoes, mangoes, kinnow as well as Himalayan and industrial salt. Processing takes place at the SITE Super Highway Phase 2 site in Karachi: rice is dried, steamed, parboiled, hulled and milled, potatoes are washed and refined, and packaging is done to buyer specification. The company exports around 6,000 t of potatoes and approximately 10,000 t of corn annually, mainly to the Middle East and Asia, and also to the USA and Europe. The company is run by the second generation: Mahindhar Kumar (Managing Director) as well as Arun, Amesh and Karan Kumar.
