Tradition with a future – smart machining since 1925
Karl A. Steinel GmbH is a manufacturing and development partner for medium-sized technology companies, based in Bad Elster, Saxony. Its core competence is machining of metals: turning, milling and turn-milling of prototypes, small series and series with lot sizes from 1,000 to 10,000 pieces and annual requirements of up to 100,000 pieces. Machined materials include aluminium, copper and steel materials, in particular copper-nickel, AL99.5, stainless steel and pure copper, complemented by plastic parts. In addition to machining, the company offers adjacent processes such as induction brazing of ceramics, deep drawing, laser processing, hardening and grinding, as well as its own tool grinding shop. Development support includes 3D and 2D design in SolidWorks and FDM prototype printing. The components are used, among other things, in the automotive industry, in nuclear metrology and in mechanical engineering. The company was founded in 2021 by the great-grandsons of company founder Karl Arthur Steinel and continues the family tradition at the Bad Elster site.
