About us

Karl Daferner Kieswerk GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1955 and is run as a medium-sized family business in its third generation at the Elchingen site. The company extracts and processes mineral raw materials: washed natural sands, moraine gravels, crushed sands and crushed gravels, premium grits, as well as products made of Jurassic limestone, basalt, granite, shell limestone, marble and slate. At the Riedheim gravel plant and the Langenau-Fischerhöfe gravel pit, sand and gravel are washed, crushed and classified. For over 25 years, the company has also recycled mineral construction waste such as concrete rubble, construction debris, asphalt slabs and masonry into quality-monitored recycled products (RC-1), and operates its own excavated-soil landfill with wet backfilling (Z 0). At the concrete filling station in Elchingen, fresh concrete is dispensed without appointment from 0.15 m³. Customers include the construction industry, the landscaping and gardening sector, and private customers in the Ulm/Elchingen region, supplemented by deliveries, excavator and earthworks, as well as packaging in big bags or on pallets.
