KARL DEUTSCH is an owner-managed manufacturer of instruments and systems for non-destructive materials testing (NDT) headquartered in Wuppertal. The portfolio includes ultrasonic testing instruments and systems (ECHOGRAPH), phased array instruments and electronics, magnetic particle crack testing machines (DEUTROFLUX/DEUTROMAT), test benches and systems for dye penetrant testing (KD-CHECK) as well as instruments for measuring wall thickness, coating thickness and crack depth (ECHOMETER, LEPTOSKOP, RMG 4015). The product range is complemented by chemical testing agents, UV lights, probes and PC software such as ECHOVIEW, CAPTURE, ICOM and EASYEXPORT. All handheld devices, sensors and chemical testing agents are manufactured in Plant 1; ultrasonic testing systems as well as MT and PT systems are built in Plant 2. Customers come primarily from the metal-producing and metal-processing industries, from steel mills, forges, foundries, the automotive supply industry, ball bearing manufacturing, as well as rail transport and aviation. With around 150 employees, an export share of over 50% and a worldwide sales and service network, the company serves customers internationally.
