About Karl H. Bartels
The Karl H. Bartels GmbH is a family business founded in 1938, now in its third generation, headquartered in Horst (Holstein), Schleswig-Holstein. The company develops and manufactures custom racking systems for sheet metal, long goods and heavy loads as well as tipping containers, containers, lever trolleys, roll platforms, storage platforms and automated storage systems such as the Automatic-Tower. Design and production take place in the company's own plant: the racking systems are welded, painted and assembled in the Horst production hall. The materials used are predominantly steel as well as V2A stainless steel and aluminium; finishes are painted in RAL colours or hot-dip galvanized. Welding on steel and aluminium structures is certified to DIN EN 1090 and DIN EN ISO 3834-3. Customers come from industry, trades, logistics and the steel industry; the systems are in use worldwide, sold via field sales, a European agent network and an online shop. In addition, Bartels offers racking inspections to DIN EN 15635, assembly, maintenance, spare parts shipping as well as sales and training for electric stair climbers.
