About Karl Hobbie
Karl Hobbie is a butcher's shop from Edewecht in the Ammerland region that has been producing meat and sausage products for over 65 years. In its own production halls, pork, beef and chicken meat are processed into ham, minced meat, cooked sausage, scalded sausage, mettwurst, bratwurst and barbecue meat. The meat comes primarily from regional livestock farming and is refined with salt, spices, herbs or a smoky note from Ammerland country smoke. The Ammerland ham is traditionally cured by hand with sea salt, smoked over beechwood and matured in the drying room; since 1997 it has carried the EU seal for a protected geographical indication (PGI). In addition to the retail store at Bachmannsweg 2 with a barbecue meat vending machine available 24/7, the company serves end consumers as well as wholesale customers from retail and gastronomy in the B2B business via an online shop, including individual quantities, packaging units and product development.
