About Karl Hug AG
Karl Hug AG is a Swiss chocolate manufactory founded in 1959 and based in Obernau in the canton of Lucerne. The third-generation family business produces pralines, truffles, chocolate bars and other chocolate specialities in numerous varieties and sizes. Swiss Grand Cru couvertures from Max Felchlin AG in Schwyz are processed, along with the company's own milk couverture 36% and vanilla couverture 62%, whose cocoa beans come from Finca La Amistad in Costa Rica. The product range also includes personalised printed chocolate with a company logo (Chocoprint). Customers come from the hospitality industry, from companies ordering promotional and gift chocolate, and from retail; the company's own factory outlet (Choggishop) is open on site. Deliveries are made via DHL courier and with the company's own HUG truck on scheduled routes to Bern, St. Gallen, Zurich and Basel.
