Karl Klappenecker GmbH & Co. KG is a family company founded in 1945 in Tuttlingen that develops and manufactures surgical instruments. The focus is on instruments for orthopedics, in particular for small bone, trauma, hip, shoulder, knee, spine and ankle, as well as instruments for general surgery. As an OEM manufacturer for medical technology companies worldwide, the company also offers custom instrumentation according to customer requirements. All products are 100 % manufactured in Germany, combining technology with craftsmanship. Klappenecker introduced a quality management system as early as 1995 and has been certified to ISO 13485 ever since. Manufacturing takes place in-house in Tuttlingen in order to permanently maintain high product quality. The company is run in its third generation by Dagmar Klappenecker-Merz together with Alexander Merz.
