Karl Menzel Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co is a family-owned company founded in 1925 and based in Bielefeld, which develops and manufactures customer-specific special machines for the production and processing of web-shaped materials. The delivery program comprises coating and impregnating lines, laminating lines including belt calenders, lines for wet finishing (washing, bleaching, mercerizing, dyeing), winding machines, fabric accumulators, web guiding elements as well as extensive plant accessories such as heat exchangers and roll handling systems. Manufacturing is carried out with a high level of in-house production depth at its own plants in Bielefeld (including the Brackwede plant section) and Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, including design, assembly, commissioning and factory acceptance testing (FAT). The company serves the textile, film, nonwovens, paper and composite materials industries as well as medical and energy technology, among others with lines for airbag fabrics and geogrid coating up to 6,400 mm material width. Deliveries are made worldwide, complemented by maintenance, spare parts and retrofit services throughout the entire life cycle of the machines.

Quality
Every plant is fully assembled at the works before delivery and tested under production-like conditions; the factory acceptance test (FAT) is carried out together with the customer. After commissioning on site, a safety test, a trial run with the product and complete documentation follow.
