About us
Karl Mietz Natursteine is a family-run stone masonry and sculpting workshop based in Crailsheim. The company was founded around 1900 in Ratzebur/Pomerania and has been based in Crailsheim and the surrounding region for over 75 years; today it is run in the 4th generation by Tobias Mietz, master stonemason and sculptor. Its range of services covers the working and shaping of natural stone: gravestone design and headstones, natural stone work, natural stone restoration as well as demanding sculptural works such as altars, baptismal fonts and tabernacles for churches, fountains, sculptures, monuments and memorials. In addition, the company designs public spaces as well as private homes and gardens using natural stone. Every commission begins with personal consultation and a graphic pre-planning stage, created from a combination of hand drawing and modern technology.
