About us
Karl Peter Kunststoffe GmbH (KPK) has specialized in the development and production of plastic profiles since 1968. At its site in Münchweiler an der Rodalb in the Südwestpfalz region, the family-run company produces, using its own in-house-developed tools, profiles made of rigid PVC, flexible PVC of all hardness grades, ABS, LuranS, ASA as well as PE as reclaimed or virgin material. The value chain ranges from custom geometry development through integrated toolmaking with design, 3D-CAD, flow simulation and CNC manufacturing to highly efficient extrusion in shift operation, including co-extrusion and an integrated color mixing department. The offering is rounded out by profile finishing and assembly (labelling, packaging), consignment warehousing and minimum-quantity orders. In addition to more than 250 directly available standard profiles, KPK develops and manufactures custom profiles for window construction (PVC windows), construction and industrial applications, which are in use worldwide. Over 3,000 developed tools and more than 1,000 existing customers worldwide document the company's more than 55 years of experience in plastic extrusion and toolmaking.

Materials & Processes
Rigid PVC
Rigid thermoplastic for profiles in window construction and building applications, the main material in profile production.
Flexible PVC of all hardness grades
Flexible profiles, e.g. for seals in industrial applications.
ABS
Impact-resistant thermoplastic for profile applications with increased requirements for toughness and surface quality.
LuranS
Weather-resistant ASA/ABS material (BASF) for profiles used outdoors.
ASA
UV- and weather-stable for profiles in outdoor applications.
PE (reclaimed or virgin material)
Polyethylene in virgin or reclaimed form for economical and sustainable profile solutions.
Tool steel 1.2311
Through-hardening steel for the construction of extrusion tools (dies, calibrators).
Tool steel 1.2312
Upgraded variant of 1.2311, preferred for precision tool components.
Hardened stainless steel
Wear-resistant toolmaking steel for long tool service life.

Quality
KPK operates according to a certified quality management system (ISO 9001:2015) and environmental management system (ISO 14001:2015); initial extrusion is tested for dimensional accuracy, surface quality and material behavior, and tool output is continuously monitored with modern metrology. A CSTB certification is in place for PVC window profiles.
