Karl Sauer GmbH is a family business founded in 1953 by Karl Sauer in Neunkirchen-Altenseelbach, now run by the second generation and specializing in electroplating surface finishing. The range includes gold plating (up to 2 µm), silver plating (up to 20 µm), nickel plating (up to 15 µm), anodizing and passivation of aluminium as well as laser engraving and polishing. Production takes place both in rack processing and in barrel lines for small parts and bulk goods such as screws or stamped parts. Customers' product range extends from hospitality articles and fine tableware products to electrical conductors for the electrical industry. The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. The offering is directed exclusively at business customers.

Gold plating
Electroplated gold coating up to 2 µm, as corrosion protection with good conductivity and low contact resistance; rack and barrel lines.
Silver plating
Silver coating up to 20 µm, electrically and thermally conductive, especially for the electrical industry.
Nickel plating
Nickel coating up to 15 µm, decorative protection against air, water and most acids and alkalis.
Anodizing
Conversion of the aluminium surface into an oxide layer; colors Natural, Black and Green, part size up to 800 mm / 50 kg.
Passivation
Making metal surfaces conductive, up to 800 mm / 50 kg.
Laser engraving
Permanent marking of metal, plastic and organic materials up to 100 × 100 mm.
Polishing
Treatment of metal surfaces for smoothing and finishing.
