Karl Schies GmbH is a family-owned specialist company for building technology, founded in 1911 and headquartered in Vogtsburg-Burkheim am Kaiserstuhl. With more than 70 employees, including six engineers, the company plans, manufactures, installs and maintains technical systems for ventilation and air conditioning, heating, refrigeration and plumbing as well as building automation – from commercial and industrial construction to schools and hotels and through to theme parks. Ventilation ducts and special components are manufactured in the company's own metalworking department; the range of services includes CNC machining, laser processing, sheet metal working, forming technology and welding technology, among other things for stainless steel piping installations. Building services engineering disciplines are engineered in CAD (Trimble Nova). Since 2024, the company has been based at a new location at Rheinstraße 30 with 2,400 m² of production and warehouse space and 800 m² of office space. More than 40 service vehicles handle maintenance, service and monitoring throughout the DACH region.
