About us
Karl Zehnder AG is a Swiss family business in its fifth generation and is divided into three divisions: the sawmill, the pallet plant and the timber store. The sawmill has a sawing capacity of 25'000 Festmeter per year; the roundwood comes exclusively from domestic forests. The species processed are mainly spruce, fir and pine, which are used according to their specific properties. After quality sorting in the roundwood yard, sawing takes place in the saw hall to produce scaffold planks, boards, squared timber, battens, packaging wood and other cut sizes. Around 10'000 m³ of the sawn volume are processed in the attached pallet plant into various pallet types in all dimensions. On request, the company also carries out drying in drying kilns or treatment according to the ISPM 15 standard. The company is certified with the "Swiss Wood" label and, through large stocks of standard products, maintains immediate delivery readiness.
