Industrial 3D printing with a quality focus
KAST Digital Manufacturing is a 3D printing service provider in Böttingen, just a few kilometres from Tuttlingen. The company produces plastic components using FDM (fused deposition modeling with a heated build chamber), SLA (stereolithography/DLP) and SLS (selective laser sintering). The range extends from standard and engineering materials such as PLA, PETG-ESD, ASA, PA6-CF and PA12 to elastomeric TPU and high-performance plastics such as PEEK, PEEK-CF, PPS-CF and ULTEM 9085/1010 in high-temperature FDM with continuous service temperatures up to 250 °C. In addition to printing, the value chain includes consulting on additive suitability, design and DfAM, 3D scanning and reverse engineering, post-processing (glass bead blasting, vibratory finishing, dyeing, painting to RAL, threaded inserts, machined rework of fitting surfaces) as well as assembly of ready-to-ship assemblies with neutral shipping. For repeat parts, additive series production without tooling is offered with frozen parameters, frame orders and call-off quotas. The people behind KAST bring experience since 2003 in highly regulated environments (medical technology, defence technology) and since 2020 in industrial additive series production of complex components.
