Sawing technology, storage technology and material handling from a single source

KASTO is a family-owned machinery manufacturer founded in 1844, headquartered in Achern (Baden-Württemberg) with a production site in Schalkau (Thuringia). The company manufactures metal sawing machines (hacksaws, band and circular saws, block and plate saws) as well as automated storage systems for bar stock and sheet metal, including honeycomb storage systems, tower storage systems, sawing centers and bar storage systems. The product range extends from workshop saws to fully automatic sawing systems with integrated material supply and robot handling (KASTO sort, KASTO sort tower). The portfolio is complemented by material handling components, the KASTO logic warehouse management system, SmartSolutions such as KASTO optisaw and respond, plus service, retrofit and a 24/7 hotline. Materials machined include structural steels, stainless and tool steels, aluminum, titanium, nickel alloys such as Hastelloy and Inconel, non-ferrous metals and plastics. Customers come from steel and aluminum distribution, mechanical and plant engineering, automotive, sheet metal working, steel production, window/door and facade construction, aerospace, shipbuilding as well as education and research. Internationally, KASTO is represented by subsidiaries in Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, Singapore and China.
