Kautz Zahnradfabrik GmbH in Wuppertal-Barmen has specialized in the production of gears for over 70 years. On around 1000 m², the company manufactures toothed workpieces such as gears, gear couplings and drive shafts with 20 employees. The product range includes pinion shafts, spline shafts, keyway shafts, internal gearings, keyway hubs, parallel keyways, worm shafts, worm gears, bevel gears, gear racks and face gearings. Production is carried out exclusively to order, according to drawings and the applicable standards, for commercial use, mainly in small series but also in quantities of up to approx. 2,000 pieces. All gearing areas are covered by modern CNC machining centers for hobbing, gear shaping and gear grinding; additionally, a broaching machine for internal profiles and a wire EDM machine for through holes are used. The quality management system has been certified by Lloyds (LRQA) to DIN ISO 9001 since 2006.
