About Kauzen-Bräu
Kauzen-Bräu is a medium-sized brewery in Ochsenfurt in the heart of Lower Franconia. The company brews a range of Franconian beers, including Vollbier hell, Laurentius, Haustrunk Pils and the Clanbier developed for Irish and Scottish clans. Since 2009, the brewery has also continued the former Wolf Brewery as a brand, producing Vollbier hell and Pils according to the original Wolf recipes. Production follows the classic brewing process with four ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast. The head brewer is Marcus Lifferth, and Jacob Pritzl is managing director. For product quality, Kauzen-Bräu has been awarded multiple times by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), most recently with the 'Preis der Besten in Gold' (Prize of the Best in Gold). The beers are distributed regionally as well as through the company's own beer shop with ordering by telephone, fax and e-mail. The roots of the house go back to 1809; the traditional Wolf brand dates back to 1739.
