KCS Europe GmbH was founded in 2009 as a European partner of the Japanese technology group Kobe Steel, Ltd. and is based in Monschau. The medium-sized company develops and manufactures standardized and custom PVD coating systems as well as PACVD surface technologies, including Arc Ion Plating, DC, Pulse, and HPPMS sputtering, Gas Flow Sputter Technology (GFS), and DLC coating. In addition to complete production lines and individual systems, we develop and integrate in-line, batch, and roll-to-roll processes, as well as individual system concepts for coating tools and precision parts into existing production processes. A proprietary, certified research and development department works on self-developed technologies and processes; research partnerships with institutes and universities complement the innovation work. Systems are delivered with lifetime support as well as training and instructional offerings. Customers include the tool industry, manufacturers of precision parts, and high-tech applications worldwide.
