About KDK Dornscheidt GmbH

KDK Dornscheidt GmbH is a family-run, medium-sized company in its third generation, headquartered in Königswinter. Its core activities are the sales and refurbishment (regeneration) of electricity meters as well as the sale, design and manufacture of lighting systems for outdoor lighting. As a state-recognized calibration laboratory ENW 20, up to 120 test stations are available for the calibration of electricity meters and auxiliary devices; regenerated meters are delivered with the yellow calibration mark. The portfolio also includes electricity meters with MID declaration of conformity, DIN-rail meters, remote reading, current transformers, coin-operated timers, pole-opening doors and the patented KDK pole cap, which is marketed partly nationwide and across Europe. Through commercial agencies (including Iskra, Redur), KDK supplies municipal utilities and energy providers, electrical wholesalers, trade and industry as well as municipalities. Reference projects such as the Verticalis model solar lights with PILG sensor along the Rhine promenade in Bad Honnef demonstrate its activity in the field of sustainable outdoor lighting.
