Precision from tradition – special machinery construction and contract manufacturing from Elmshorn
Keller Feinwerktechnik GmbH was founded in 1921 by Amandus Keller and is today based in Elmshorn near Hamburg, active in special machinery construction and CNC contract manufacturing. For over 30 years, the company has been developing and manufacturing customer-specific precision parts, assemblies and special machines as well as complete automated turnkey systems. The service portfolio includes CNC turning and CNC milling on a machine fleet of around 20 machines from Mori Seiki and DMG, assembly of components including functional testing, special plant construction, plant automation as well as the integration of robots and cobots in new and existing systems. This is complemented by feasibility studies, design, control and software development, testing systems, retrofit of existing systems as well as commissioning, FAT/SAT and CE documentation. Customers come from industries such as automotive and e-mobility, medical technology, electronics/sensor technology, plastics and packaging technology, textiles/nonwovens and mechanical and plant engineering. Manufacturing takes place at two Elmshorn plants: the main plant at Fritz-Straßmann-Straße and the Technology Center at Otto-Hahn-Straße.

Documentation
Materials and manufacturing processes
CNC milling
Complex contours, drilling patterns and fits are manufactured to drawing with documented repeatability.
CNC turning
Turned parts with functionally relevant surfaces and dimensional accuracy, also in combination on turn-mill centres.
Aluminium
Frequently used engineering material for precision parts and small series.
Stainless steel
Machining of stainless steels such as 1.4301/1.4571 for corrosion-protected components.
Engineering plastics
Materials such as POM, PA and PE are machined, e.g. for assembly and testing tasks.
Assembly of components
From the individual part to the function-tested, ready-to-install assembly including defined inspection and control steps.
Heat treatment/surface treatment
Organised as a subcontracted service within the contract manufacturing process chain.
