Extraction technology for clean air in industry

Keller Lufttechnik is a family-owned company founded in 1903 and headquartered in Kirchheim unter Teck. The company develops and manufactures custom extraction systems for the separation of dusts, chips, welding fume, paint mist, oil mist and vapors in industrial production. The portfolio includes dry separators, wet separators, emulsion and oil mist separators, electrostatic separators as well as extraction arms, extraction tables, extraction hoods and industrial vacuum cleaners, supplemented by filtration technology and fans. Manufacturing takes place in-house, among other things on a laser cutting center with a solid-state laser; filter elements such as the KLR filters for the VARIO dry separator are also developed and produced in-house. Target industries include metalworking, plastics manufacturing, woodworking, the chemical industry, stonemasonry businesses and foundries. Engineering uses flow simulation (CFD), 3D laser scanning and dust analyses; explosion protection in accordance with ATEX as well as heat recovery and clean air recirculation round out the offering. Customers include Sandvik Tooling Supply, fischer Maschinentechnik and the Walzengießerei Coswig roll foundry.

Media and materials of extraction technology

Stahl

Steel

Dust-like substances such as steel chips and blasting dusts are safely captured in dry and wet separators.

Al

Aluminum

Explosive aluminum dusts require preventive and constructive explosion protection measures in accordance with ATEX.

Mg

Magnesium

Extraction of magnesium dusts with adapted explosion protection.

KUNST

Plastics

Plastic dusts (including CFRP, GRP, rubber, polyester, PTFE) are separated in suitable separation technologies.

HOLZ

Wood

Wood chips from woodworking are captured via chip extraction systems and dust collectors.

QUARZ

Quartz dust

The VARIO dry separator with KLR filter elements fulfills TRGS 559/560 for health-hazardous quartz dust.
