About Kelvion PHE
Kelvion PHE (formerly GEA Ecoflex GmbH), based in Sarstedt, develops and produces sealed, semi-welded, fully welded, and soldered plate heat exchangers for industrial use. The product spectrum also includes evaporators, condensers, economizers, and dehydrators, as well as custom-tailored series for nearly all industrial applications. The company tradition dates back to 1856, when Eduard Ahlborn founded an agricultural machinery trade in Hildesheim; in 1931, the company invented the first plate heat exchanger for milk pasteurization. In 1995, the plate heat exchanger production was spun off as GEA Ecoflex GmbH and currently operates as Kelvion PHE. Areas of application include air conditioning, refrigeration technology, chemical, pharmaceutical, food industry, sugar, steel production, mechanical engineering, marine, and energy. With around 330 employees and a revenue of approximately 100 Mio. € (as of 2007), the company was one of the leading plate heat exchanger producers worldwide; the GEA EcoServe service organization provides maintenance and spare parts service. Production sites were located in Germany, the USA, and India.
