About us
Kempter Meile AG is an engineering office that has been active since 1984, based in Wil (SG), which, as a vendor- and product-neutral specialist planner, designs and plans Operational Technology for utilities. The service portfolio includes network control systems and controls for the electricity, water, gas and heat sectors, intelligent metering systems (Smart Metering), intelligent control and regulation systems (Smart Grid), protection and station SCADA technology for substations up to 20 kV and substation networks from 60 to 400 kV, as well as communication and system integration including telecontrol technology according to IEC 60870-5-101/-103/-104, IEC 61850 and TASE.2. Further focal points are renovation supervision of transformer substations, network substations as well as water and natural gas structures, schematic development according to IEC 81346 and IEC 60617, fiber optic, FTTx and cable management, Business Process Management, and ergonomic control and operations rooms. Since 2018, the company has been supporting utilities in site determination and risk-based implementation of the ICT Minimum Standard for critical infrastructures, and since 2024 it has been offering EMSRL concepts for heating systems and networks. Customers include, among others, Technische Betriebe Weinfelden and Glarus, Energie Kreuzlingen, Stadtwerk Winterthur, BKW Energie and Swissgrid; one project was realized in Liechtenstein.
