About KEMSOLID

KEMSOLID is a business unit (division) of KEMROC that focuses on the development, testing and manufacturing of soil-mixing attachments for soil stabilization and ground improvement. The technologies produce homogeneous, water-impermeable and frost-resistant soil-cement structures; depending on soil conditions and load-bearing requirements, different concentrations of cement and binder suspension are used. At the center is the TSM technology (Trench-Soil-Mixing), in which KSI attachments are installed on excavators or drilling and piling equipment to produce in-situ soil-cement cut-off walls and retaining walls. Applications range from the sealing of large excavation pits, contaminated sites, dams, dikes and bodies of water to vibration barriers and excavation shoring, as well as ground improvement for transport routes such as highways and high-speed traffic and for industrial buildings such as logistics halls. Planning and construction companies as well as clients also receive a consulting package from foundation engineering specialists. Excavator drum cutters and auger drilling equipment are rented out via a Rental Park.

Soils, binders and processes

TSM

Trench-Soil-Mixing (TSM)

In-situ process for producing soil-cement cut-off walls and retaining walls with KSI attachments mounted on excavators or drilling and piling equipment.

SMC

Soil-cement structure

Homogeneous, water-impermeable and frost-resistant structure for improving the load-bearing capacity and impermeability of the soil.

BIN

Binder suspension

Depending on soil conditions and load-bearing requirements, the concentration of cement and binder fluid varies.

RC

Rock cutting technology (rock cutting)

Derived from rock milling technology, enabling small unforeseen obstacles to be overcome; anchoring of the structure to bedrock is possible.
