KEO GmbH, headquartered in Cologne, is a software company founded in 2012 that specializes in smart networking in energy management. Based on the global EEBUS standard, the company develops and operates software solutions that digitally connect energy-relevant components along the entire value chain – from the grid operator via the grid connection point and home energy management systems (HEMS) through to applications such as heat pump, inverter, storage and wallbox. Products include the UseCase API as a connectivity solution for communication between devices in the household, the Ktest toolbox Ktest StiX for stimulation, debugging and testing, as well as KEO Edge for control technology at the grid connection point. The portfolio is complemented by Cyber Security as a Service, taking regulatory requirements into account. Customers are companies in the fields of e-mobility, heat pump, solar, energy management, smart meter gateway, grid operators and storage; according to the company, over 2.5 million devices are connected and more than 60 customers are served.
