Keramik Conen – Marlies Conen
Heiligenhaus (DE)New on Amplifa
About the Studio
Keramik Conen is the studio of Marlies Conen, a graduate product designer who studied at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld (focus on ceramic, porcelain and glass design, graduated 2010). In her own workshop and studio rooms in Heiligenhaus, handcrafted objects are created from ceramics, porcelain, bone china and glass, including sculptures, figurative works, lampshades and one-of-a-kind pieces. In addition to glass design, among other things using the glass slumping technique at around 800 degrees over clay models, Marlies Conen works in silk painting, oil and acrylic painting as well as with materials such as handmade paper, jute sacks and boat sails. In addition, ceramic and glass workshops and teaching activities in adult creative education are offered. Studio visits and consultations are possible by appointment.
