About Keramik Meier

Keramik Meier is the workshop of ceramicist Maria Sellner in Aicha vorm Wald in the district of Passau. Since 2008, table ceramics, garden ceramics and Christmas ceramics have been produced there by hand. Every piece is created in very small batches: either freely thrown on the potter's wheel or formed on self-designed wooden and plaster moulds. After the bisque firing, the pieces are decorated with underglaze painting and subsequently given a transparent glaze. The final firing takes place at 1200 °C in the electric kiln, making the stoneware dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe and oven-safe. The range includes plates, mugs, bowls, platters and other tableware items as well as fence figures, garden finials, planting pots, garden steles and floating spheres, which are presented in the workshop's exhibition garden.
