About Kermi Duschdesign

Kermi Duschdesign GmbH develops and manufactures shower enclosures, walk-in showers, bathtub screens and custom-made individual shower solutions at its headquarters in Plattling, Lower Bavaria. The company emerged from the Kermi trade business founded in 1960 and has been manufacturing shower enclosures since 1976; in 2024 it was spun off from Kermi GmbH as an independent GmbH and belongs to the Glass Solutions division of Arbonia AG. Products are made from toughened safety glass (ESG) in accordance with EN 12150-1 in glass thicknesses of 3 to 10 mm as well as aluminium profiles; processes include the toughening (heat treatment) of the glass, finishing, bonding with the GLUE forte installation system and sealing with sanitary silicone. All products are tested to EN 14428 (CE) and include standard models, custom-made solutions (EXTRA) and bathtubs. Around 600 employees work at the Plattling site; customers include the sanitary trade as well as projects in hotels, healthcare and residential construction, among others with a measuring and installation service in Germany and Austria.
