About KERSTEN Elektrostatik

Based in Freiburg im Breisgau, KERSTEN Elektrostatik GmbH has been developing, configuring and producing system solutions for electrostatics in industrial production processes for over 40 years. The portfolio includes components for targeted electrostatic charging of materials, for example for blocking paper, as well as for discharging to eliminate disruptions caused by static charge in production lines — including ATEX-certified components for explosion-protected areas. The range comprises high-voltage generators, power supplies, high-voltage distributors, discharging and charging electrodes, discharging heads, nozzles, bars and guns, as well as measuring devices such as electrofield meters and high-voltage probes. Manufacturing takes place entirely in-house; materials include glass-fibre-reinforced plastic (GRP) for electrode bodies and wear-resistant tungsten for high-voltage needles. From mid-2025, the new XX9 series will replace the proven XX6 series. Customers come from the printing industry, plastics and injection moulding processing, winding processes, packaging (tube bags), labelling applications, electronics (chips, wafers, RFID labels), mailing, and EX areas.
