About Kersten Coating Technology
Kersten Coating Technology has specialized in the preservation and upgrading of metal surfaces since 1967. The company applies technical plastic coatings to metal components, including fluidized bed coating (Fluidized Bed Coating), electrostatic powder coating and rotational processes (Rotomoulding). Coating materials used include Rilsan® (biobased Nylon 11), Resicoat® (epoxy), Halar® (ECTFE), XYLAN® (fluoropolymer), Abcite® as well as PFAS-free ceramic coatings. Components with lengths up to 6 m and diameters up to 1.5 m can be coated. In addition to application, Kersten offers pyrolysis and thermal cleaning (up to 480 °C) for the removal of old coatings and contaminants so that components can be reused. Value-added services include technical consulting, certification support and an on-site service with repair, inspection, coating thickness measurement and porosity testing. Customer industries include drinking water treatment, wastewater and cooling water treatment, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and offshore, the food and pharmaceutical industries, the electroplating and semiconductor industries, and the bakery and printing industries.
