About ALWID – Special-Purpose Machinery
ALWID is a brand of Kessen Maschinenbau GmbH based in Essen (Oldenburg) and has been developing and manufacturing customised filling and capping machines since 1964. The product range extends from semi-automatic table-top machines to fully automatic inline fillers and fully automatic rotary fillers with up to 50 filling stations. Non-carbonated, low- to high-viscosity liquids and pastes can be filled using three methods: level filling (vacuum NV/HV), volumetric filling (piston, pumps, inductive flow meter) and gravimetric filling (weigh fillers, mass flow meter). The capping machines handle screw, trigger, roll-on, crown cork, twist-off and press-on closures. In addition, the company plans and manufactures complete packaging systems and monoblock systems including rinsers, labellers, depalletisers and palletisers, as well as special-purpose machines such as marking and cleaning systems. The machines are predominantly made of stainless steel and plastic and are used in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetics industries; exports go to around 60 countries.
