KFE Kucharzak Fassaden Engineering is an engineering office for facade technology based in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Owner Roman Kucharzak, graduate engineer in architecture (Technical University of Wrocław, degree 1985), is a consulting engineer and facade planner with 33 years of professional experience in facade technology and a member of the Chamber of Engineers Berlin; he has been self-employed since 1999. The office provides technical support for facade projects from concept to realization. The range of services includes consulting including technical clarification, workshops for architects to develop facade details, design of key details (hand sketches and CAD drawings), visualization, execution planning with 2D and 3D CAD drawings through to approval of permit and execution drawings, shop drawing planning, support during the execution phase including tendering, shop drawing review, on-site project inspection and installation monitoring, as well as expert report preparation. The focus is on the technical detailing of design facade concepts with consideration of building physics, structural feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
