khb maschinen- und anlagenbau GmbH is a family-owned special machine builder based in Mannheim that has been active in the market for over 50 years. The company supports projects holistically from requirements analysis and CAD design through to manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance. The range of services includes special machine building, transport and conveyor technology (roller conveyors, transfer cars, turntables, drag chain conveyors, hygienic conveyors, chutes and hoppers), engineering, retrofit, maintenance including 24-hour on-call service as well as DGUV inspections and a mobile compressed air consumption analysis service. In the company's own mechanical manufacturing, parts are CNC milled (3-axis and 4-axis machining, up to 1000 × 500 × 350 mm, up to 1000 kg, lot sizes 1–1000 pieces) as well as CNC and conventionally turned (up to Ø 500 mm × 4000 mm length). Materials are predominantly steel and stainless steel; for the food industry, systems are manufactured almost entirely from stainless steel in hygienic design. Customers come from the automotive, glass, food, foundry, chemical and wood-based materials industries as well as logistics and environmental technology.

khb is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (ZDH-ZERT, valid until 11.07.2027), conducts regular internal audits and holds the certification for welding of steel structures according to DIN EN 1090-2 (DVS ZERT).
