About Kieswerk Brandrübel
Kieswerk Brandrübel GmbH & Co KG (KWB) was founded in 1993 as Kies und Transport GmbH and produces mineral building materials in Schmölln, Thuringia. On the Brandrübel I–III extraction fields, the company extracts gravel and sand and refines the raw materials using wet and dry methods; the core of the operation since 1996 is a stationary gravel washing plant with integrated water treatment, which circulates water in a closed loop. The product range includes sands and gravels of various grain sizes, wall gravel, dry gravel and washed products; with mobile crushing plants, frost-protection gravel 0/32 and concrete recycling products are produced, and a mobile screening machine classifies dry gravel and topsoil. Quality monitoring is carried out in-house in the company's own building materials laboratory. With its own vehicle fleet, KWB delivers the products directly to the construction site or to the mixing plant; the plant is located directly on the A4 motorway, Schmölln exit. In addition, the company accepts uncontaminated excavated soil, brick rubble and concrete rubble in accordance with Laga Z 0* for backfilling and recultivates the areas, including biotope installation; currently 18 employees are employed.
