Kieswerk Schwarz Kastl GmbH operates a gravel plant with screening, washing and crushing facilities as well as a construction waste landfill in Kastl in the district of Altötting. The gravel plant produces washed gravel products such as sand 0-4, Riesel, Bummerl, screed sand and concrete gravel; the crushing facility produces crushed grades such as crushed sand, grit, crushed stone, mineral concrete and Staffenkies. In addition, raw gravel grades such as wall gravel, backfill gravel, clay and Nagelfluh (conglomerate) are offered. In the company's own construction waste pit, soil and gravel excavation as well as construction waste are recycled for backfilling the extracted areas; recultivation enables renewed agricultural use. Every delivery is inspected by qualified personnel, and the groundwater is regularly tested. Customers include the construction industry, civil engineering, road construction, the concrete industry as well as the recycling and waste disposal sector.
