About KSP
Kieswerke Silzen-Peissen GmbH (KSP) was founded in 1980 in Silzen (Schleswig-Holstein) and operates two gravel works in the western Holstein region. At the main Plant I, concrete aggregates, cobbles, specialty construction materials for golf and equestrian arena construction and special sands for playgrounds are produced; the site covers approx. 30 ha, of which 20 ha are dredged underwater. Since 2003, Plant II, located opposite, has produced civil engineering and road construction materials; the permit covers 40 ha. The portfolio includes concrete gravels, graded aggregates, cobbles, boulders, crushed sand, chippings, filter gravels, frost protection layers, screened topsoil and lawn soil. The company offers delivery to site with 3-axle trucks, trailer combinations and semi-trailers (up to 40 t gross weight), loading by wheel loader from 500 kg with calibrated scales, and big bag filling. After gravel extraction, the areas that become free are left to nature conservation.
