About KIMA Process Control

KIMA Process Control GmbH was founded in 1996 in Jülich, initially as KIMA Echtzeitsysteme, and specializes in the development, production and distribution of industrial measurement and control technology. The product range includes high-precision fill level measurement for ball mills (SmartFill™) using 360° acoustic signal analysis on the mill shell surface, infrared-controlled water cooling of kiln shells for hot spot treatment (KilnCooler), vibration sensors for condition-based monitoring, temperature measurement as well as advanced process control and AI modules for process optimization. The systems can be integrated into existing processes, increase throughput, reduce specific energy consumption and minimize wear. Applications are found in the cement, minerals, energy and mining industries; SmartFill™ is designed for bulk materials such as cement, limestone, coal, gold and iron ore as well as aluminum oxide. Customers from more than 50 countries use the technologies; according to the website, around 2.2 million tonnes of CO2 had been saved by 2021. The solutions are fully developed and manufactured in Germany (Made in Germany).
