KIS Antriebstechnik GmbH & Co. KG was founded in Dortmund in 1990 and specializes in custom rotary solutions and product developments in rolling bearing technology. The portfolio comprises radial and axial bearings in ball and roller designs, combined axial/radial bearings, slewing rings, crossed roller bearings, track, support and cam rollers as well as ceramic bearings. KIS products are not standardized catalogue goods, but application-specific drive solutions developed in close cooperation with customers. The value chain extends from design and product development through manufacturing monitoring and assembly of system solutions and individual components to extensive quality inspections in an in-house measurement laboratory with a prototype workshop and assembly line. As a second-generation family business, KIS supplies its products to more than 45 countries worldwide, focusing on mechanical and plant engineering industries. With the MISSION ENERGY AUTARKY 2027 initiative, the company aims for complete self-sufficiency and climate neutrality in Scope 1 and 2 at its Dortmund site.
