About Kistler
Kistler Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH, founded in 1966 and 100% family-owned, is a company from the Upper Swabia region that develops and manufactures welding positioning and cutting machines for the metalworking industry. The portfolio comprises more than 2000 machine models, including pipe turning rolls, tank turning rolls, welding positioners, pipe oxy-fuel cutting machines (SPS- and CNC-controlled), longitudinal seam weld clamps, beam welding lines and manipulators. In addition to standard machines, the company develops and manufactures special machines to customer-specific requirements. The main materials are steel as well as rubber, polyurethane and Vulkollan for rollers and wheel sets. Customers come from industries such as oil and gas, wind power, shipbuilding, energy and pressure vessel construction as well as pipe mill equipment, including EEW, Nova Hut, Bergrohr and Cimtas Pipe. Production takes place in Bad Saulgau (headquarters, 1500 m² of production space) and Bierstetten (two factory halls); with an export rate of 80%, customers are supplied worldwide. The group includes the subsidiary F. Bode & Sons (Preston, UK) and the integrated UP Helfert GmbH (submerged arc welding).
