About KL-Messtechnik
KL Messtechnik & Service GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2003 by Karl Leistner in Heßdorf near Erlangen and is the authorized HEIDENHAIN representative in Northern Bavaria. The company is not a classic manufacturing operation, but a provider of metrology and control technology: it distributes the HEIDENHAIN product range (length and angle measuring devices, rotary encoders, position displays, numerical controls) as well as the M-TEC modular system for tactile gauging fixtures. In its own workshop, length measuring systems, 3D touch probe systems (TS series), keyboard units and multi-station measuring devices of the Gage-Chek series ND 2104/ND 2108 are inspected and repaired; in emergencies within 2-3 hours. Service technicians offer on-site field service for control retrofits/changes, diagnostics and testing of metrology equipment in the installed state as well as replacement devices during machine downtime. Further services include upgrading and modernizing older machine types (retrofit), the set-up and programming of single- and multi-station measuring stations for production areas and calibration laboratories, as well as technical consulting on site and by telephone. Customers come from machine tool manufacturing, turned and milled parts production, mechanical and plant engineering and calibration laboratories. Owner and managing director since January 2019 is Ralph Schubert, who has been active in the HEIDENHAIN business since 1992.
