About the KLAAS Group

The KLAAS Group, headquartered in Wetter (Ruhr), was founded in 1970 by engineer Hans Klaas and comprises KLAAS Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG and, since 2001, KVT KLAAS Verladetechnik GmbH & Co. KG. The company manufactures rotary pipe joints in eight basic designs (DN20–DN700), rotary feed-throughs as well as loading arms and access solutions for the loading and unloading of tank trucks, rail wagons and containers. In addition, the contract manufacturing division offers CNC milling and turning, vertical turret lathe turning, boring machines, gear shaping (generative shaping of internal ring gears and hollow wheels for planetary gearboxes) as well as steel construction using all common welding processes (MIG, MAG, TIG, submerged arc, electrode). Materials are steel, stainless steel and aluminium; the range extends from series production of small parts to single-unit fabrications weighing several tonnes, complemented by cutting, grinding, rolling, bending, blasting, painting, assembly and preservation. Customers come primarily from the chemical industry, the oil and gas sector, the food and beverage industry, pharmaceuticals, water management and logistics. Around 30 employees manufacture exclusively at the company's headquarters in Wetter an der Ruhr.
