Sawing technology since 1928
Klaeger Sägetechnik GmbH, based in Kernen (Baden-Württemberg), manufactures band saw machines and fully automatic sawing systems for the manufacturing industry. Founded in 1928 as “Fortuna Kaltsägetechnik”, the company offers a range of around 38 saw machine models: twelve vertical band saws, eighteen horizontal band saws from manual to fully automatic, as well as four machines for post-processing in 3D printing (separating additively manufactured workpieces from the build plate as an alternative to wire EDM). The dual-column fully automatic machines of the Pharos series cut cutting ranges from 300 x 300 mm to 630 x 630 mm and are designed for hard materials such as stainless steel, tool and mold steels and superalloys. In addition, Klaeger designs customer-specific, fully automatic systems based on Industry 4.0 principles including loading and unloading systems and supplies saw blades (bimetal and carbide) as well as accessories such as lubricating oils, lubrication systems and roller conveyors. Since 2019 the company has been part of the Istech Group (Istech Segatrici srl, Vanzago, Italy) and offers service, technical support and spare parts throughout Europe.
