The Company
Klaus Dieterich Schaltanlagenbau GmbH (KD Schaltanlagenbau) was founded in 1955 in Pirmasens and has specialized for decades in the specific requirements of water and wastewater management. The company plans, designs and manufactures medium-voltage switchgear up to 20 kV as well as low-voltage switchgear and power distribution boards up to 6000 A, alongside conventional and PLC controls, alarm, monitoring and remote control systems, and process control and automation technology. Energy and control systems are manufactured to individual customer specifications on approximately 1,200 m² of production space; enclosures in stainless steel and aluminium, including special types, are produced in-house with our own paint shop. Services also include PLC programming, assembly and commissioning (also abroad), packaging and shipping including sea containers, as well as complete documentation. In addition to municipal facilities in Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland, the systems are in operation internationally in desert regions of North Africa and the Middle East as well as in Northern Europe and Russia, among others for pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, elevated water reservoirs and irrigation systems.
