Klein Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1984 by Wilhelm Klein in Heilbronn and specialises in the development, manufacturing, maintenance and repair of industrial PCs. The product portfolio includes customised industrial PCs, Compact-IPCs, Embedded-PCs and Panel-PC systems with integrated UPS, SSD storage and integrated LED lighting. The Panel-PCs feature closed housings made of aluminium die casting, touchscreens and TFT panels from 12.1 to 21.5 inches. The systems are configured to customer specifications and are used, among other things, in industrial image processing for optical quality control, in production environments, in process visualisation, in robotics, in development departments and in engine test benches. Since 2012, the company has been led by Tamer Ismail and is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 for development, manufacturing, sales, maintenance and repair. The scope of services includes documented system tests, on-site consulting, training, remote maintenance and an RMA repair service. The headquarters with manufacturing is located in Flein near Heilbronn; according to the company, its products are in use thousands of times worldwide.

A quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 for development, manufacturing, sales, maintenance and repair is certified by GTÜ Zertifizierungsstelle GmbH (GTÜZ). All systems undergo documented system tests; an internal QM system with regular internal audits has been in place since 2002.

Wilhelm Klein founds Klein Elektronik in Heilbronn, specialising in VMEbus systems for engine test benches.
- 1985
Conversion to a GmbH and expansion of the business field to PC-based systems (IBM PC-AT) tailored to customer-specific requirements.

Expansion of the company and relocation to Neckarsulm.
