Kleinjung Masterbatches GmbH (until 01.03.2026 Granula Deutschland GmbH), based in Rudolstadt in Thuringia, is a manufacturer of color masterbatches, functional masterbatches, additive solutions and combination masterbatches as well as polymer-based compounds. Production takes place by compounding/extrusion on carrier polymers such as POM, PA, PP, ABS, PC as well as biopolymers such as PLA and Bio-PE. Functional masterbatches include, among other things, antimicrobial and aseptic properties, UV protection, scratch resistance, resistance to disinfectants, laser marking additives and O2/CO2 barriers; in the company's own technical center, surface plaques with grain textures are produced for color approvals. Customers include the automotive plastics industry (vehicle interior and exterior applications) including TIER 1-2 suppliers, the medical industry, manufacturers of bioplastics and the food packaging industry. For the medical sector, masterbatches and compounds are manufactured under an ISO 13485 certified quality system with full batch traceability. Delivery service is provided for Europe in compliance with statutory regulations such as FDA conformity.
