Klinger & Born GmbH was founded in 1982 and develops, manufactures and distributes customised drive technology solutions at its site in Brensbach in the Odenwald region. The product range includes frequency inverters (including Invertek Drives, Parker Hannifin, Powtran, Kostal), DC converters, soft starters, IE3 three-phase motors with and without a mounted frequency inverter, complete drives as ready-to-connect plug & play units, motor controls, starters, automatic starting devices and electronic brake systems for asynchronous motors. Also manufactured in-house are controls and switch cabinets to customer specification, contactors (KB-04 series), plug-switch combinations as well as machined enclosures made of ABS, polycarbonate, metal and stainless steel. Enclosure machining (drilling, milling, printing) is performed on a 2×5-axis CNC drilling and milling station (ModCenter 263 with Beckhoff control) – also for small quantities. The offering is complemented by a repair service for frequency inverters and converters including a 24h express service, configuration service, installation, commissioning, maintenance and retrofit. Customers come from mechanical and plant engineering, automation technology, vehicle and transport technology, production technology, trades and agricultural technology. The company employs around 65 staff and generates revenue of approx. €7 million.
