About Klingspor
Founded in 1893 and headquartered in Haiger, Klingspor AG is an internationally active family-owned company in the market for tools for surface treatment and shaping by grinding. The product range comprises around 50,000 products: abrasive rolls, abrasive belts, fibre discs, abrasive sheets, Quick Change Discs, flap wheel products, Kronenflex cut-off and grinding wheels, elastic abrasives, carbide burs, diamond cut-off wheels and grinding plates, drill bits (hole saws), saw blades, backing pads, non-woven products and wire brushes. The main business fields are coated abrasives as well as cut-off and grinding wheels. Research and development at the Haiger headquarters develops, among other things, diamond tools, whose production has taken place since 2015 at the company's own plant in Lviv (Ukraine); granulates are processed in climate-controlled rooms, green bodies are cold-pressed to tight tolerances and segments are laser-welded to the carrier body. Customer industries include metal and structural steel construction, stainless steel processing, the automotive industry, engine manufacturing, foundries, the wood and furniture industry, the construction industry, medical technology as well as apparatus and pipeline construction. In addition to the Haiger headquarters with around 600 employees, R&D and the approx. 1,000 m² Training Academy, Klingspor has maintained a manufacturing site in Poland since 1996 as well as a sales company in Vienna.

Klingspor is a co-founder and member of oSa (Organisation for the Safety of Abrasive Tools e.V.) and strictly complies with the standards DIN EN 12413, DIN EN 13743 and DIN EN 13236. Production is monitored seamlessly by independent, specially trained quality assurance staff – from raw material procurement to delivery, including inspection of dimensions, weights, hardness and density.
