kln.swiss gmbh is a joinery and wooden lamp manufactory in Kehrsatz near Bern. The family business, founded in 2019, is run by Kim and Nico Muhmenthaler together with their cousin Luca Oberli; the company name stands for Kim, Luca and Nico. The focus is on in-house production of one-of-a-kind lamps made from old and new wood, complemented by solid wood tables, furniture joinery, interior fittings, bread bins and services such as repairs, restorations and table care. Manufacturing includes cutting, planing, sanding, millimetre-precise CNC machining, surface treatment (oiling, varnishing, staining, among others) and the electronics assembly of LED technology including functional testing. Swiss and European wood is processed, especially reclaimed wood, oak and walnut. As a specialist retail partner, kln.swiss also distributes tables and chairs of the Girsberger brand. Customers are private individuals, hotels and restaurants; the products are Swiss Made and are sold via an adjoining showroom in Kehrsatz as well as at trade fairs throughout Switzerland.
