About Kloster Scheyern
Kloster Scheyern is a Benedictine abbey in Scheyern, Bavaria, dating back to its founding year of 1119. The abbey grounds are home to various monastery businesses, including a monastery brewery that is present, among other things, with its own festival tent at the Pfaffenhofen Volksfest. The abbey offers church services, educational programs and guided tours of the monastery complex. Rooms are rented out for events; the spectrum ranges from conferences, courses and seminars to performances, processions and concerts in the chapel. Every year on 1 August, the day of death of Countess Haziga, regarded as the foundress, a memorial day is observed. According to its own statements, the monastery complex impresses with its size and architecture and is a destination for guided monastery tours.
